Common use of Childrearing Leave Clause in Contracts

Childrearing Leave. 1. Tenured teachers, shall be entitled, upon written request submitted to the Superintendent, to a child-rearing leave without pay or benefits. A "child-rearing leave" shall be available to both male and female employees within thirty (30) calendar days of the birth or adoption of a child, or the placement of a xxxxxx child in their care.
