Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Forty-eight (48) hours (Saturday and Sunday excluded*) from 5:00 p.m. (6:00 p.m.**) December 24 to 5:00 p.m. (6:00 p.m.**) December 26
Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The parties agree that the period to include Christmas Day and Boxing Day as defined at Article 17.01(a) is unique in its importance to employees and their families and for that reason agree to adopt the following approach to that period.
Christmas Day and Boxing Day. When Christmas Day is a Monday, the 25th and 26th days of December; or When Christmas Day is a Tuesday, the 25th and 26th days of December; or When Christmas Day is a Wednesday or Thursday, the afternoon of the 24th day and the 25th and 26th days of December; or When Christmas Day is a Friday, a Saturday, or a Sunday, the 24th to 27th days of December, inclusive; any other day duly observed as a Provincial or National holiday. Where a holiday falls on an employee’s regular day off, that employee shall be granted another day off in lieu of the holiday. Where Christmas Day or Boxing Day falls on a Saturday or Sunday which is not an employee’s regular day off, that employee shall be granted either the preceding Friday or the following Monday or both as his day or days off. Where the Employer requires an employee to work on a holiday, that employee shall be compensated by payment for the hours of work per- formed at one and one-half (1 times his regular rate of pay, in addition to his regular day’s pay as provided for in Article When one of the holidays falls on or is observed on a regular work- ing day during an employee’s vacation, he shall be granted an additional day’s vacation in lieu thereof.

  • WORKING DAY BEFORE AUCTION DATE Any intending bidder who intends to bid on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm is required to deposit with the Auctioneer prior to the auction sale an authority letter to state that he/she is acting on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm and he/she is authorised to sign all the necessary documents. A foreign citizen/foreign company may be allowed to bid for the property and if the bid is successful, the sale is subject to the foreign citizen/company applying and obtaining at his/her/its own cost to the Economic Planning Unit (if applicable) and/or relevant State Authority for the unconditional consent to the sale within the period stated in Clause 11 hereof but subject to Clause 22 hereof.
