CMR Convention. 17.1.1 In case the Company undertake international and national road transports or performs such international road transports as part of a logistical service, the CMR Convention shall be applicable in addition to this General Agreement. 17.1.2 The Customer shall pay particular attention to the following clauses in the CMR Convention: • For loss of damage to the goods the Company’s liability is limited to 8.33 SDR per kg gross weight of the part of the goods which has been lost or damaged (art 23.3). • Compensation for delay shall never exceed the amount of the freight (art 23.5). • If the Customer takes delivery of the goods without duly checking their condition with the Company or without sending the Company reservations giving a general indication of the loss or damage, not later than the time of delivery in the case of apparent loss or damage and within 7 days of delivery in the case of loss or damage which is not apparent, the fact of this taking delivery shall be prima facie evidence that the Customer has received the goods in the condition described in the consignment note. Furthermore, no compensation shall be payable for delay in delivery unless a reservation has been sent in writing to the Company, within 21 days from the time that the goods were places at the disposal of the Customer (art. 30); • Legal proceedings against the Company shall be commenced within a period of 1 year, otherwise the right to claim will be statute barred.

CMR Convention. Provisions of the "Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods By Road" done at Geneva on the 19th of May 1956 as amended by the Protocol done at Geneva on the 5th of July 1978. Contract: The contract between the Carrier and the Customer for the performance of Services in respect of the Goods (as manifested, among others, by an acceptance of offers and quotes issued by the Carrier and agreed to by the Customer). The Contract is considered to incorporate these General Terms & Conditions (as may be updated periodically) in their totality.   • Convention Except as otherwise provided in this Conveyance, each calendar day, month, quarter and year shall be deemed to begin at 12:01 a.m. Central Time on the stated day or on the first day of the stated month, quarter or year, and to end at 12:00 a.m. Central Time on the next day or on first day of the next month, quarter or year, respectively.

  • Union Conventions Subject to the approval of the supervisor(s) concerned, and upon written request submitted at least twenty (20) working days in advance, leave of absence without pay shall be granted to not more than two (2) employees at any one time, who may be elected or selected by the Union to attend any authorized labour convention. Such leave of absence is to be confined to the actual duration of the convention and the necessary travelling time.   • Conventions For purposes of this Article XIII, Party A means the Carrier from which a telephone number is Ported, and Party B means the carrier to which a telephone number is ported.

  • Measurements and arithmetic conventions All measurements and calculations shall be in the metric system and calculations done to 2 (two) decimal places, with the third digit of 5 (five) or above being rounded up and below 5 (five) being rounded down.

  • Particular Methods of Procurement of Goods and Works International Competitive Bidding. Goods and works shall be procured under contracts awarded on the basis of International Competitive Bidding.

  • LEAVE FOR REGULATORY BUSINESS AS PER THE TEACHERS’ ACT 1. Upon written request to the Superintendent or designate from the Ministry of Education, an employee who is appointed or elected to the BC Teachers’ Council or appointed to the Disciplinary or Professional Conduct Board shall be entitled to a leave of absence with pay and shall be deemed to be in the full employ of the board as defined in Article G.6.1. 2. Upon written request to the superintendent or designate from the Ministry of Education, a teacher teaching on call (TTOC) who is appointed or elected to the BC Teachers’ Council or appointed to the Disciplinary and Professional Conduct Board shall be considered on leave and shall be deemed to be in the full employ of the Board as defined in Article A.10.1 above. TTOCs shall be paid in accordance with the collective agreement. 3. Leave pursuant to Article A.10.1 and A.10.2 above shall not count toward any limits on the number of days and/or teachers on leave in the provisions in Article G.6.
