COMMUNITY ACTIVISM. The Union and Company agrees that community activism is an asset to the Employer in creating community goodwill. Employees will be encouraged to participate as volunteer community activists. The Employer may assign employees to work on community projects or events, in which case the employee will be paid in accordance with the hours worked and overtime provisions of this Agreement.

COMMUNITY ACTIVISM. (a) RCLA’s model of community activism will reflect a transformative leadership approach to social justice and equity. RCLA as an element of the community will promote and practice community- centered transformative leadership principles. Transformative leadership in hierarchical, closed organizations is an effective approach used by leaders to create strong organizations of empowerment from the bottom up. RCLA will operate as a transformative, open organization of equal status to the broader community and will support empowerment within all organizations whose purpose is community-focused or student- driven. To apply transformative leadership principles to the RCLA educational setting, all members of RCLA will: • Acknowledge power and privilege; • Articulate both individual and collective purposes (public and private good); • Deconstruct social-cultural knowledge frameworks that generate inequity and reconstruct them in more equitable ways; • Balance critique and promise; • Effect deep and equitable change; • Work towards transformation – liberation, emancipation, democracy, equity, and excellence; and • Demonstrate moral courage and activism. (b) All members of RCLA will be actively and strategically engaged in the neighborhood community in which the school serves. Any individual who is a part of the RCLA community, including teachers, administrators, assistants, secretaries, custodians, or Governance Board members will strive to understand and practice transformative leadership principles to have the greatest possible impact on the community, as well as promote authentic participation and partnerships that: • Supports parental involvement; • Compounds student growth and empowerment; • Strengthens community identity; • Builds intrinsic motivation; • Maximizes community resources; • Creates and supports equity in education; and • Improves the standard of living for children. (c) Building relationships with students, families and the community with a child-centered focus is a high priority. RCLA staff will remain focused on meeting the needs of marginalized students and building strong relationships with those students, their families as well as community-based organizations that support both students and families.   • Community Engagement The HSP will engage the community of diverse persons and entities in the area where it provides health services when setting priorities for the delivery of health services and when developing plans for submission to the LHIN including but not limited to CAPS and integration proposals. As part of its community engagement activities, the HSPs will have in place and utilize effective mechanisms for engaging families, caregivers, clients, residents, patients and other individuals who use the services of the HSP, to help inform the HSP plans, including the HSP’s contribution to the establishment and implementation by the LHIN of geographic sub-regions in its local health system.

  • Management; Community Policies Owner may retain employees and management agents from time to time to manage the Property, and Owner’s agent may retain other employees or contractors. Resident, on behalf of himself or herself and his or her Guests, agrees to comply fully with all directions from Owner and its employees and agents, and the rules and regulations (including all amendments and additions thereto, except those that substantially modify the Resident’s bargain and to which Resident timely objects) as contained in this Agreement and the Community Policies of the Property.   • Community Outreach Please describe all community outreach efforts undertaken since the last report.

  • Residence Community Living Standards The Residence Community Living Standards (“RCLS”) forms a part of this Agreement. It details the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of Residents as well as the residence conduct process. Each Resident is responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the terms outlined within the RCLS. The Manager and the Institution may amend the terms of the RCLS from time to time and may post the amendments in the Residence. Failure to abide by the RCLS may result in eviction from Residence and termination of this Agreement as per the violations and sanctions outlined in the RCLS, and as stated in section 8.01(d).   • Community Service Leave Community service leave is provided for in the NES.

  • Community Reinvestment Act The Bank has complied in all material respects with the provisions of the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 (“CRA”) and the rules and regulations thereunder, the Bank has a CRA rating of not less than “satisfactory” in its most recently completed exam, has received no material criticism from regulators with respect to discriminatory lending practices, and to the Knowledge of Professional, there are no conditions, facts or circumstances that could result in a CRA rating of less than “satisfactory” or material criticism from regulators or consumers with respect to discriminatory lending practices.
