Compassionate Leave - Type. 2 A member may apply through the Principal to the Manager of Human Resources, on the appropriate leave form, for up to two days without loss of pay or sick leave for attending to the medical needs of the members’ immediate family (father, mother, child, spouse, common law or same sex partner).

Compassionate Leave - Type. 2 A member may apply through the Principal to the Superintendent/Manager of Human Resources, on the appropriate leave form, for up to two days without loss of pay or sick leave for attending to the medical needs of the members’ immediate family (father, mother, child, spouse, common law or same sex partner). Where possible, requests for compassionate leave will be made in writing, in advance. In emergencies, a telephone call, confirmed later in writing, is acceptable.
