Compensation During Paid Absence. Employees who have the approval of the Supervisor for a paid absence, established by Section 3, shall be compensated at their daily rate of pay for each basic work day of absence.
Compensation During Paid Absence. Bus Drivers who receive approval from the Supervisor for a paid absence, as established by Section 3, shall be compensated at their hourly rate of pay for each hour of absence from their scheduled run.
Compensation During Paid Absence. Preschool teachers who have received approval from their Early Childhood Program Supervisor for a paid absence shall be compensated at their daily salary schedule rate of pay for each preschool teacher's basic day of absence.

The paid absence compensation shall cease when a full- time Mechanic’s paid absence leave accumulation is exhausted.
