Leave Accumulation. A. Annual leave with pay shall be available only to the extent earned, provided that the dates of such leave have been approved in advance by the employee's supervisor.
B. A maximum of 400 hours (50 work days) of annual leave may be carried into a new calendar year by all Regular full-time employees; this maximum will be pro-rated for part- time employees working 50% or more.
Leave Accumulation. If a member of the bargaining unit does not take the full amount of leave allowed in any year, the amount not taken shall be accumulated from year- to-year.
Leave Accumulation. Employees shall have access to his/her attendance record through the current employee information system. (Amended 2015)
Leave Accumulation. Leave shall be accumulated to the following maximum:
a. For contracts of 189 days or more: 120 days for all members hired before July 1, 2009. All members hired after July 1, 2009 will accumulate to 110 days.
b. For contracts of fewer than 189 days: a quantity prorated from the numbers established in (a) above.
Leave Accumulation. 1. On the first contract day of each school year, each teacher shall be granted fourteen (14) days of leave. Teachers hired after the beginning of the school year will be allocated a pro-rated amount.
Leave Accumulation. All unused leave days shall be accumulated to a total of one hundred eighty (180) days for ten-month employees.
Leave Accumulation. Certificated staff members shall accumulate sick leave at the rate of 1.25 days per month to a maximum of fifteen (15) days in any school year to be used for any of the following reasons:
a. Personal illness.
b. Pre-arranged physician or dental appointment for which a doctor's statement is provided may use sick leave.
c. Serious illness in the immediate family.
i. Serious illness is defined as illness which requires the teacher's presence.
ii. Immediate family is defined as husband, wife, significant other, children/step, or other members of the same household, or father/step, mother/step, brother/step, sister/step and biological/step grandmother/grandfather/grandchild/step.
Leave Accumulation. Except with the approval of the Council, accumulated Vacation Leave shall not exceed three hundred and eighty (380) hours and all employees who have accumulated at least eighty (80) hours of vacation shall expend at least eighty (80) Vacation Leave hours per calendar year with at least forty (40) hours being consecutive. Any employee in a position represented by XXXX, who has more than 320 hours of accrued vacation leave, may have the option to receive a cash payment in lieu of their requested vacation time. This option to receive a cash payment in lieu of vacation time will only be available if (1) the employee has filed a written request for leave at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the leave; and (2) management denies the employee’s request for leave because of department workload and staffing needs. Any payment in lieu of requested vacation time will not be PERSable and will not be credited towards the employee’s single highest year compensation for retirement purposes. This provision shall not apply to leave which is denied for a requested period due to management’s approval of leave for other employees and in which leave would still be available for a period close to the requested vacation period.
Leave Accumulation. Vacation leave accumulated during the calendar year shall be granted during the following calendar year and shall not be cumulative. Vacation may be carried over from one year to the next provided it has been approved by the General Manager on a case-by-case basis.
