Compensation for Holiday Work. Employees who When an employee's work schedule requires him/her to work on an observed holiday the employee shall be paid 1.5 at one and one-half (1-1/2) times their his/her regular hourly rate of pay. Such employee(s) shall also receive eight (8) hours holiday pay at his/her base rate of pay for such hours worked. In addition, the employees shall receive their regular pay for the holidayplus any shift differential.

In additionWhen the holiday falls while an employee is on pre- approved vacation, the holiday will not be charged against their vacation or leave. To be eligible for holiday compensation, employees shall receive must be on the active payroll and have worked or been on pre-approved vacation, sick or personal leave on their regular pay for last scheduled work day preceding the observed holiday and their first scheduled working day following the observed holiday.
