Common use of Continuing Seniority Clause in Contracts

Continuing Seniority. Employees who are promoted or transferred to a job outside the bargaining unit, excluding exempt employees, will continue to accumulate seniority for one year from the date of said promotion or transfer; and shall thereafter retain their seniority which shall apply in the event of their return to a job within the bargaining unit.
