Cost analyses. In Phase I of this program, Epyx will evaluate these advanced substrate based catalysts and adsorbents in micro/meso reactor, MPR (modular pressurized reformer -- a disintegrated 50 kWe fuel processor), and integrated 5O kWe fuel processor - with and without PEMFC. The performance data obtained from such testing under simulated and real reformate conditions will be conveyed to Corning and others in order for them to improve the material performance. Epyx will also collect kinetic data, design the reactors, and integrate them with the Next Millennium Fuel Processor(TM) - all with guidance from subcontractors. Detailed description of SOW Task 1 Substrate selection: Based on the information provided in Table 2, Corning will prepare a comprehensive list of candidate substrates (for each reaction zone) based on their following requirements in the descending order: o High catalytic activity per unit volume o High catalytic activity per unit mass o Low thermal mass o High ease of heat & mass transfer-- axially and radially o Ability to undergo rapid thermal cycling (between room temperature and Table 2 temperature), and frequent start-up and shut-down o Compatible with all reactants, products, trace species, air, and water o Washcoating capability o Resistant to plugging by foreign species o High commercial viability or low cost For certain reaction zones, such as reforming, high heat transfer rates are extremely important to attain high catalytic activity. Therefore, a metallic reticulate type substrate is preferred.

Cost analyses. The costs related to each monitoring method will be tracked during the project, and evaluated and compared. This will allow cities and counties, and other research entities to understand the costs related to monitoring efforts. Direct costs of equipment for fabrication, all related equipment needed to deploy equipment, costs related to data characterization and analysis, and all other costs will be evaluated and summarized. Costs associated with street sweeping and partial capture devices will also be collated and summarized in the final report. To the extent possible, comparisons between street sweeping costs (with and without partial capture) and the costs of purchasing, installing and maintaining full capture devices will be compared.
Cost analyses. For the Landing Gear Door and for the Railway Side Panel serial productions, the material needs and the associated recurring costs were evaluated. The labour time needed for the all the steps of the manufacturing processes (SQRTM for LGD and RTM for RSP) were evaluated based on the part geometry, the mould concept and Coexpair experience. A preliminary rough estimation of recurring cost was also performed for other non specific steps. The combination of material cost and labour cost provided the recurring costs for both the demonstrators. The number of moulds, the number & type of injection systems and the number and general characteristics of presses were evaluated. This evaluation was based on concept geometries, mould concepts, cure cycles, time spent with each equipment etc. and provided the non recurring cost evaluation.

  • Special Analyses It is hereby certified that these regulations will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. This certification is based on the fact that it is unlikely that a substantial number of small entities will hold REMIC residual interests. Therefore, a Regulatory Flexibility Analysis under the Regulatory Flexibility Act (5 U.S.C. chapter 6) is not required. It has been determined that this Treasury decision is not a significant regulatory action as defined in Executive Order 12866. Therefore, a regulatory assessment is not required. It also has been determined that sections 553(b) and 553(d) of the Administrative Procedure Act (5 U.S.C. chapter 5) do not apply to these regulations. • Sampling and Analysis The sampling and analysis of the coal shall be performed by Seller upon loading of the coal, and the results thereof shall be accepted and used as defining the quality and characteristics of the coal under this Agreement and as the Payment Analysis. All analyses shall be made in Seller’s laboratory at Seller’s expense in accordance with ASTM standards where applicable, or industry-accepted standards in other cases. Samples for analyses shall be taken in accordance with ASTM standards or other methods mutually acceptable to both parties. Seller shall transmit its quality analysis to Buyer as soon as possible. Each sample taken by Seller shall be divided into four (4) parts and put into airtight containers, properly labeled and sealed. One (1) part shall be used for analysis by Seller. One (1) part shall be used by Seller as a check sample, if Seller in its sole judgment determines it is necessary. One (1) part shall be retained by Seller until thirty (30) days after the sample is taken (“Disposal Date”), and shall be delivered to Buyer for analysis if Buyer so requests before the Disposal Date. One (1) part (the “Referee Sample”) shall be retained by Seller until the Disposal Date. Buyer, on reasonable notice to Seller, shall have the right to have a representative present to observe the sampling and analyses performed by Seller. Unless Buyer requests an analysis of the Referee Sample before the Disposal Date, Seller’s analysis shall be used to determine the quality of the coal under this Agreement and shall be the Payment Analysis. The Monthly Weighted Averages of specifications referenced in §6.1 shall be based on the individual Shipment analyses. If any dispute arises with regard to the analysis of any sample before the Disposal Date for such sample, the Referee Sample retained by Seller shall be submitted for analysis to an independent commercial testing laboratory (“Independent Lab”) mutually chosen by Buyer and Seller. For each coal quality specification in question, if the analysis of the Independent Lab differs by more than the applicable ASTM reproducibility standards, the Independent Lab results will govern, and the prior analysis shall be disregarded. All testing of the Referee Sample by the Independent Lab shall be at requestor’s expense unless the Independent Lab results differ from the original Payment Analysis for any specification by more than the applicable ASTM reproducibility standards as to that specification. In such case, the cost of the analysis made by the Independent Lab shall be borne by the party who provided the original Payment Analysis.
