Criminal Record Checks. 59.01 The Board will comply with the provisions of Regulation 521/2001 of the Education Act with regard to the collection of information regarding Criminal Background Checks. 59.02 The Board shall ensure that all records and information (including offence declarations and CPIC records) are stored in a secure location and in a completely confidential manner. Access to such records and information shall be strictly limited to the Director of Education and the Director - Human Resources. 59.03 The Board shall not release any information obtained about an employee pursuant to Regulation 521/2001 of the Education Act without permission of the employee. 59.04 The Board shall not release or report to the Ontario College of Teachers any information obtained about an employee pursuant to Regulation 521/2001 of the Education Act, unless it is required to do so.
