Critical Family Illness Leave. 1. During a fiscal year, a unit member shall be allowed up to three (3) days of paid leave of absence for critical illness or serious injury to an immediate family member, without deductions from accumulated sick leave. For the purpose of this leave, the use of critical illness or serious injury leave requires the hospitalization of the immediate family member.
