Reimbursement for Property Loss. 1. The Board will repair or reimburse teachers the current value up to a maximum of $300 for any clothing or personal property, except for motorized vehicles where the maximum shall not exceed $100, damaged or destroyed as a result of an assault and/or battery or an act of vandalism suffered by the teacher in the course of employment during duty hours or assigned District responsibility. No reimbursement shall be provided for the loss of cash or personal property through negligence.
2. To apply for reimbursement a "Notice of Loss and Claim for Reimbursement" form must be filed with the teacher's immediate supervisor within ten days of the occurrence of the damage or loss or the claim will be forever waived.
3. A report of the incident shall be filed with the appropriate law enforcement agency, and a copy of the report shall be submitted to the Board along with the claim. A claim for reimbursement from the teacher's insurance carrier(s) shall be made, and a copy of this claim and the insurance carrier(s) response shall similarly be filed with the Board before payment is authorized. Receipts for repair or replacement shall be submitted at the time reimbursement is requested.
4. No reimbursement shall be provided for losses fully covered by insurance or when full reimbursement is obtained from other sources.

Reimbursement for Property Loss. The district will reimburse a member of the bargaining unit in a reasonable amount not to exceed $l00.00 for the cost of replacing clothes or personal property damaged or destroyed during the course of, and incidental to employment, provided loss has not been caused by the negligence of the teacher. This provision shall not apply to personal property used in the performance of duties unless permission for its use is secured in advance from the building principal. Personal property shall not include automobiles or their contents. This provision shall not apply to theft. Written notice of any loss must be provided to the building principal within 24 hours along with proof of damage. A reliable estimate of repair or replacement cost must be provided reasonably thereafter. Total reimbursement for a school year shall not exceed $500.00 for all Bargaining Unit Members and no reimbursement shall be made to any Bargaining Unit Member if other compensation is available from other sources.
Reimbursement for Property Loss. Employees recognize the hazards of the position held with the County working in the Detention Center. As such, employees should be cognizant of personal effects that may be damaged in the line of duty for which the County does not provide reimbursement. Uniforms damaged in the line of duty should be presented to the employee’s supervisor for possible replacement from the Detention Center’s supply.

Should employees, during the course of their duties, suffer damage to clothing or personal effects, including a motor vehicle, which are necessary to do their job, the Employer shall reimburse the reasonable cost, at actual market or depreciated value, of repair or replacement of such items. This section shall not apply to wear and tear and damage to personal effects normally associated with the work being performed. Where damages result in whole or in part from an employee’s own negligence, the Employer shall not reimburse the employee for a proportion of the damages that is equivalent to the employee’s proportion of fault.
Reimbursement for Property Loss. The District shall provide for reimbursement of personal property, which is used for and is necessary to the fulfillment of the unit member’s responsibilities to the District when such property is lost, destroyed or damaged by action of arson, burglary or vandalism. The amount of such reimbursement cannot exceed $500.00.
22.2.1 The unit member is not eligible for reimbursement if the loss or damage is due to the employee’s negligence in the care or placement of such articles.
22.2.2 Reimbursement shall be made only when prior approval for the use of the personal property in the school/department was given before the property was brought to the school/department, when each item brought was listed on the appropriate District form, and the replacement value agreed upon by the unit member bringing the property and the administrator or person appointed by him/her for this purpose, at the time the approval for its use was given (Education Code Section 35213).
22.2.3 The employer, as advised by legal counsel, shall reimburse unit members for any and all costs incurred as a result of assault, including repairing or replacing personal property which may have been damaged or destroyed, and for all related medical costs not covered under insurance benefits.
Reimbursement for Property Loss. Should an employee, during the course of his/her official duties, suffer damage to his/her clothing or personal effects, the City shall reimburse the employee for the reasonable cost, at actual market or depreciated value, of repair or replacement of such personal effects necessary to perform the work required by the employee's classification up to a maxim um of $150.00 per occurrence. The incident giving rise to such claims must be verified and not be due to the employee's own negligence. To be eligible for reimbursement, the item of clothing or personal effect must have a value of at least $15.00.
