DATE OF STEP INCREASES. The effective date of a step increase shall always be the first day of a biweekly pay period. If the employee completes the hours stated in Subsection A during the first 5 calendar days of a pay period, excluding holidays, the advancement shall be effective on the first day of that pay period; otherwise, the anniversary date shall be the first day of the succeeding biweekly pay period.
