Common use of DEFENCE FORCE RESERVES LEAVE Clause in Contracts

DEFENCE FORCE RESERVES LEAVE. ‌ 48.1 The Employer must grant leave of absence for the purpose of Defence service to an Employee who is a volunteer member of the Defence Force Reserves or the Cadet Force. Defence service means service, including training, in a part of the Reserves or Cadet Force. 48.2 Leave of absence may be paid or unpaid in accordance with the provisions of this clause. 48.3 Application for leave of absence for Defence service will, in all cases, be accompanied by evidence of the necessity for attendance. At the expiration of the leave of absence granted, the Employee will provide a certificate of attendance to the Employer.
