A “staff shortage” is defined as a situation where the departure of the successful applicant from his or her unit would result in the number of qualified controllers, including Unit Operations Specialist (UOS), being reduced by more than: (a) one controller, at units/specialties with a control requirement of eight (8) or less; (b) two controllers, at units/specialties with a control requirement of nine (9) to fourteen (14); or (c) three controllers, at units/specialties with a control requirement of fifteen (15) or more.

Related to Deferred Training

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.

  • In-Training Employment 1. The Employer may designate specific positions, groups of positions, or all positions in a job classification or series as in-training. The Employer will document the training program, including a description and length of the program.

  • EDUCATION AND TRAINING FUND 22.01 i) The Employer shall contribute to the Union the sum of Five cents ($.05) per hour per full- time employee for each hour worked for education and training of Union members.
