Definition of Preparation Time a. Preparation time shall be defined as unassigned time for which the teacher shall not be responsible for the instruction or supervision of students. This time may be used at the teacher‘s discretion for marking, lesson planning or development, preparation or duplication of materials, reporting, contact with parents, consultations, or any other tasks which are associated with the instruction of their students.
Definition of Preparation Time. Preparation time is to be for teacher planning and preparation as well as student, parent, and staff conferencing. Weekly team meetings at OMS shall not exceed one hundred and sixty (160) minutes during a 5 day week. Weekly team meeting schedules will be shared with building administration if the team is not meeting for at least four of the five days a week. Elementary prep time, that occurs during the student attendance day, will only accumulate toward the 300 minutes if the time block is at least 25 minutes.
