Description of the consortium Sample Clauses

Description of the consortium. This project is ambitious, demanding a blend of different skills and expertise and requiring tight coordination between the components of different workpackages. To facilitate collabo- ration we have decided to limit the consortium to just two sites, with sufficient resource per site to build a substantial team. Each site has a leading international reputation in a subset of the expertise required by the project. Edinburgh is internationally acclaimed for its work on semantics, type theory, programming language design and implementation, concurrency, and formal methods, with substantial recent work on aspects of global computation. Mu- nich is internationally known for its work on formal methods, programming language the- ory and software engineering, with the recent addition of Xxxxxxx contributing world-class expertise in resource-bounded computation and type theory. Each of the participants have international reputations in areas relevant to the project, as outlined below. We do not anticipate difficulties in collaborating and integrating our expertise since sev- eral of the participants in the project have collaborated on research before and all participants know each other well, having worked together while members of the Laboratory for Foun- dations of Computer Science in Edinburgh. Xxxxxxxx has collaborated with Xxxxxxx on type systems for resource bounds, Xxxxxxxx has collaborated with Xxxxxxxx on type systems for specification, and Xxxxxxx has collaborated with Xxxxxxxx on semantics of specifications.

Description of the consortium. The main objective for IDEAAL is to transform GANIL into an international infrastructure. The purpose is to ensure the long-term sustainability of GANIL. Therefore, the IDEAAL consortium is coordinated by GANIL, as most of the work packages and tasks. Indeed, most studies and developments have to be initiated at GANIL or in close collaboration with GANIL teams. Both members of the GIE GANIL, i.e. CEA and CNRS, will play a major role in IDEAAL project. CEA and CNRS currently own GANIL with each having a 50% stake. These institutions will be particularly active in the negotiations with potential partners (WP2). In addition, they will advise the teams of WP3, WP4 and WP5, based on their experience with other international infrastructures located in France. IFJ PAN represents the non-French user community in the IDEAAL project. From recent studies, it is clear that Polish researchers are the most frequent users and visitors to the GANIL facility over the last several years. IFJ PAN is coordinating with GANIL the Laboratoire International Associé COPIGAL (international associated laboratory) between France and Poland for several years. In addition, IFJ PAN is leading the Instrumentation Coordination Committee of GANIL. Consequently, IFJ PAN will coordinate the task on user involvement in WP2. GSI (Germany) will act as the international expert in the management of the in-kind contributions to the SPIRAL2 project. In this aim, they will use their experience in negotiations with the international partners of the FAIR facility. Nucleopolis is a longstanding collaborator with GANIL for industrial applications at the regional level. This association is specialized in nuclear science and engineering for health and energy. Nucleopolis will coordinate the task on industrial valorisation in WP4.  Industrial/commercial involvement in the project to ensure exploitation of the results The Work Package 4 (Innovation and Industries) will be the interface between GANIL and industry within the IDEAAL project. In particular, industries will benefit from pilot access to SPIRAL2. In addition, two topics will be tested for technology transfer: beam profile monitors and production of radioisotopes.  Other countries and international organisations: All IDEAAL beneficiaries are based in the European Union.
Description of the consortium. The DART Consortium includes the majority of the European researchers active in the foundations and appli- cations of type systems with intersection types, whose use for the compositional analysis of dynamic software assembly and reconfiguration is one of the main innovations of the present project. At the same time, other researchers in the Consortium gave fundamental contributions to meta-programming, multi-staging, and the study of the object-oriented paradigm, so one can reasonably expect significant advances as output of DART work. The roles of the participants will be schematically as follow: • The researchers of Genova University will use their expertise in the design and foundations of module systems, object-oriented languages and multi-stage languages to contribute to WP1 (Frameworks and Calculi for Dynamic Software Assembly) and subsequently to WP5 (Flexible Dynamic Type Checking for Dynamic Software Assembly). Their experience in the development of extensions of existing languages, like Java, will be used for contributing to WP4 (Applications to Prevalent Languages). • The researchers of Heriot-Watt University will make their largest contribution to the development of type systems and type analysis algorithms in WP2 (Flexible and Compositional Type Systems) and WP5 (Flexible Dynamic Type Checking for Dynamic Software Assembly). To a lesser extent, Xx. Xxxxx will also contribute experience in developing calculi for reasoning about modules and linking to WP1. • The researchers of Imperial College will contribute in the areas of WP1 (Frameworks and Calculi for Dynamic Software Assembly). In particular the senior researcher will apply her experience in modules and separate compilation from more traditional languages (e.g., Ada, Modula-2), research on module systems, and also, her research in Java dynamic loading, linking and verification. She will contribute in the development of WP3 (Calculi for Object Evolution) through her work on the language Fickle, and on evolving classes, and her work on object oriented programming. Finally, she will contribute to WP4 (Applications to Prevalent Languages) through her experience in language design and formalization, and in compiler construction. • The researchers of Torino University will use their large background in the study of intersection types in order to contribute to the design of advanced type systems for separate compilations, for mobile objects, for evolving objects and for higher-order concurrent p...
