Senior Researcher. A Senior Researcher with a relevant PhD and with: • at least five years of verifiable experience working in the transport planning field. A minimum of 3 (three) completed projects in the relevant role. • Ability to undertake complex research • Technical Report Writing • Ability to effectively communicate research findings, methodology, limitations, applications, etc. to non-specialists • Assumes technical responsibility for work • Provides solution orientated specialist advice to Employer • Takes on the role of technical project leader
Senior Researcher. The supplement structure for senior researchers is the same as for associate professors. The special functions associated with the position are considered in the basis for granting supplements where the main duties are research (including obligatory publishing/dissemination of scientific knowledge) and research-based service to government authorities. Added to this must be a certain degree of teaching, as well as research management, advising and supervision of PhD students and researchers, and assessment work. Typical examples of areas where performance beyond what is normally expected can be identified include: • Scientific activity (publications in international journals, obtaining valuable patents, editing of scientific journals and contributions to books, serving on assessment committees), organizing scientific and professional conferences, serving on assessment committees; • Research-based service to government authorities such as extensive publication of reports, responding to ministerial queries, review and report of a situation or area, experimental and analytical tasks; • Project management and launching new research initiatives as well as fundraising; use of information technology in the context of teaching; extensive coordination work in research, education and dissemination; active participation in national and international professional networks; • Extraordinary extent of special administration duties etc.; • Active career development through sabbaticals with stays at companies or another research environment; • serving as union representative.
Senior Researcher. Senior researchers have a doctorate and, given their experience and the quality of their science, have developed a high degree of independence. They make valuable contributions in terms of scientific productivity, fundraising, supervision of trainee researchers, etc, within research groups led by another researcher. They have their own funding as PIs and sign articles as the main author. Especially taken into account: All the requirements of grade R2B plus: • Capacity to raise funds for research. • Leadership in cooperative research projects. • Organization of seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. • International scientific collaboration. • Collaboration with industry. Senior Researcher. Xxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx will act as project director. Xxxx combines a strong theoretical background and practical application of user research and user behaviour analysis approaches. Since joining Nomensa, he has worked on over 100 research and/or prototyping projects, including several pieces of work with NHS clients. Of particular relevance, Xxxx has recently led extensive research projects for clients, including: NHSBT (project in progress) – Project Director for an iterative prototyping and testing or Blood Portal phase 2. -SLC (UX research support) – Supporting the early work for transforming the application process for SLC. This project and others with SLC have become exemplar within the government, who have cited it in a recent digital case study. With over four years’ experience in UX research and having worked with NHSBT on several projects, Xxxx will bring valuable insight to the project, especially during the early research activities and in ensuring the quality of the final deliverables is of the highest standard.
