Disability Support. If you have additional support needs, you are responsible for contacting the Student Life Department at MIUC. Any information you provide will be treated as strictly confidential. Any delays in disclosing your disability will result in a delay in providing any appropriate support. Criminal Convictions When you apply to MIUC, you must disclose any unspent criminal convictions. MIUC will consider whether such convictions are compatible with membership of MIUC and, in particular, with a place on your course. Failure to disclose any relevant criminal convictions could lead to the termination of this Agreement by MIUC. In the aforementioned circumstances you will not be entitled to a refund of your tuition fees. Once enrolled as a student, you must inform MIUC immediately of any criminal convictions received. Consideration of the conviction will be undertaken according to the Student Disciplinary Regulations or the Fitness to Practise Regulations, if you are enrolled in a course leading to professional registration. In the aforementioned circumstances, you will not be entitled to a refund of your tuition fees.

Funding already exists through a range of channels for funding disabled students, however experience show that there are always some “who fall through the net”. Given the University’s commitment to disabled students a fund of £50,000 per year will be set aside to assist these students once they have enrolled. Funds will also be set aside to provide a new Mental Health Worker in the university’s Disability Assist Unit Scholarships The university’s range of scholarships has been simplified, and now consists of: Fieldwork Scholarship An amount of up to £350 towards each compulsory field trip on relevant courses – meaning in effect that most trips will be free of charge to the student. Studio and Laboratory Scholarship For students whose courses incur art and design studio costs or laboratory costs, these costs will be met on the student’s behalf.

  • Disability Separation A. An employee with permanent status may be separated from service when the agency determines that the employee is unable to perform the essential functions of the employee’s position due to a mental, sensory or physical disability, which cannot be reasonably accommodated. Determinations of disability may be made by the agency based on an employee’s written request for disability separation or after obtaining a written statement from a physician or licensed mental health professional.

  • Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) - An employee is eligible for continuation of MPS in accordance with applicable law.

  • Long Term Disability The Employer agrees to provide Long Term Disability benefits for active full-time employees after fifty-two (52) weeks if an Employee is unable to perform any occupation (reasonably suited by means of training, education or experience). The Plan will provide for sixty-six and two thirds percent (66 2/3%) of an Employee's basic monthly earnings to a maximum of $1,500.00. Coverage would cease the date an Employee attains normal retirement age.

  • Disability If, as a result of the Executive's incapacity due to physical or mental illness, the Executive shall have been absent from his duties with the Company on a full-time basis for six months and within 30 days after written notice of termination is thereafter given by the Company the Executive shall not have returned to the full-time performance of the Executive's duties, the Company may terminate this Agreement for "Disability."

  • Disability Plan Effective midnight March 31, 1995, the College shall pay all of the costs of a Group Disability Insurance Plan which provides for a monthly taxable income of two-thirds (66- 2/3 %) of gross monthly salary. Administrative costs of this plan shall be borne by the College. Each full-time employee who has an appointment of four (4) months or longer, or continuing part-time employee with a workload of at least fifty percent (50%), is eligible to participate in the plan. Participation of eligible employees in this plan shall be a condition of employment. If an employee continues to be paid while awaiting receipt or adjudication of an LTD benefit such payment shall be considered an advance and will be repayable in full. Should full repayment not be immediately possible, Human Resources will agree on a repayment plan that is mutually acceptable to the College and the employee. The employee in receipt of Disability Income benefits under the group plan will have the opportunity to participate during a period not exceeding five (5) years in College benefit plans, as applicable but will be required to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premium costs thereof. The employee in receipt of Disability Income benefits under the group plan will be entitled to return to the employ of the College during a period not exceeding five (5) years upon submission of a medical certificate indicating fitness for work. Should a single illness exceed ninety (90) calendar days in duration, an eligible employee must apply for disability insurance benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Seniority shall continue to accumulate during the period of disability to a maximum of five (5) years.

  • Long Term Disability (LTD 4.7.1 The school board shall cooperate in the administration of the LTD Plan. It is understood that administration means that the school board will co-operate with the enrolment and deduction of premiums and provide available necessary data to the insurer, upon request. The school board will remit premiums collected to the carrier on behalf of the teachers.

  • Long Term Disability Plan The Welfare Plan will include a Long Term Disability Plan summarized in Appendix “2”.

  • Permanent Disability Permanent Disability" shall mean Employee's physical or mental incapacity to perform his or her usual duties with such condition likely to remain continuously and permanently as determined by Employer.
