Dismissal of Term Employees. A limited term employee may be dismissed due to unsatisfactory performance provided that the employee is given notice or pay in lieu of notice as follows: Employed for a Period of: Notice or Pay in Lieu of: 4 months to one year One month or balance of contract whichever is less. Over one year but less than 3 years Two months or balance of contract whichever is less. Three years or longer Three months or balance of contract whichever is less. The Union will be notified by the Employer of the intent to dismiss prior to notifying the employee. In the case of dismissal during a term, the processes and procedures as identified under Article 20.3.1 will not apply.
