District Workshops. The District will pay classified employees in the bargaining unit for required, scheduled District staff meetings and workshops not held during the employee's regular work day at the regular rate of pay.
District Workshops. A District workshop is defined as an approved in-service experience planned and conducted by the school District for the purpose of strengthening the certified staff and/or District in curriculum, instruction, personnel, support services and other areas. Sponsors of a proposed workshop shall submit a proposal to the Superintendent in accordance with established procedures. The Superintendent will review and evaluate the proposed workshop for approval or disapproval purposes. When not included as part of their contractual agreement with the District, workshop instructors will be paid a rate of $27.00 per hour of workshop taught.

A District workshop is defined as an approved in-service experience, aligned to the District’s strategic plan and/or School Improvement Plan, planned and conducted by the School District for the purpose of strengthening the certified staff and/or District in curriculum, instruction, personnel, support services and other areas. Sponsors of a proposed workshop shall submit a proposal to the Superintendent or designee in accordance with established procedures. The Superintendent or designee will review and evaluate the proposed workshop for approval or disapproval purposes. When not conducted as part of their contractual hours with the District, workshop instructors will be paid a rate of $35.00 per hour of workshop taught. Workshop instructors will be paid for one hour of planning time for each hour of the workshop being presented.
