Domestic Leave. 12.3.1 The Employer may grant an employee leave on payment at ordinary base rates (T1 only) as a charge against sick leave entitlement when the employee must stay at home to attend to a member of the household who through illness becomes dependent on the employee. This person would in most cases be the employee's child or partner but may be another member of the employee's family or household. 12.3.2 Approval is not to be given for absences during or in connection with the birth of an employee's child.
