Common use of Donated Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Donated Sick Leave. a. Certificated employees who have accumulated a balance of over fifty (50) days of sick leave may donate sick leave to another member of the certificated employee bargaining unit who qualifies for leave due to an unforeseen event affecting the employee’s health. The affected employee must accept the donated leave and also be in danger of exhausting all fully paid leaves of absence due to his/her condition.
