E valuations. All employees will be given a written evaluative tool prior to completion of the probationary period. Written performance evaluations will occur on an annual basis. Interim evaluations may be conducted as may be required. The annual evaluation is a tool for assessing the skills of the employee and for improving and recognizing the employee’s performance. As determined by the employee’s supervisor, the employee’s participation, including a self-evaluation, is an integral part of the evaluation process. The employee will be given a copy of the evaluation. Employees will be required to sign the evaluation acknowledging receipt thereof. Employees will be given the opportunity to provide a written response to the evaluation which will be retained with the evaluation in the employee’s personnel file. Work time will be provided for evaluations. A peer evaluation format may be developed by the Employer in addition to supervisory evaluation on a unit-by-unit basis utilizing input by other employees.
