Common use of Educational Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Educational Leave of Absence. An unpaid leave of absence without loss of seniority may be granted to an employee with one (1) or more years of service to attend a recognized college, or university full time program. The course of instruction shall be relevant to the employee’s employment with the Association. The granting or refusal for the request is at the sole discretion of the Association and shall not be the subject of a grievance.

Educational Leave of Absence. An unpaid leave Leave of absence without pay, benefits or accumulation of seniority but without loss of seniority seniority, may be granted to an employee with one who wishes to enroll in a post-graduate, certificate or degree course in a university or other educational institution, provided such course is related to his career at the Agency and does not exceed twenty-four (124) or more years months duration. An educational leave of service to attend a recognized college, or university full time program. The course of instruction absence shall be relevant to the employee’s employment with the Association. The granting or refusal for the request is at the sole discretion of the Association and shall not be the subject of a grievanceconsidered only once every four (4) years.
