Educational Points. Educational Points will be added to the candidates final score of all testing. Educational points must be turned into the Police and Fire Commission within the time allowed, which will be determined by the Police and Fire Commission. A maximum of ten (10) educational points will be allowed. Points may be reused for promotions to Captain. Classes will be evaluated, added, or deleted during future contract negotiations. **Education points that were used to get promoted to the Lieutenant position may not be reused to be promoted to Captain. One-half (1/2) point for the following certifications: Juvenile Fire Setter. One (1) point for the following certifications: Instructor II, RIT: Under Fire (Or equivalent), F.A.S.T, HazMat Technician, Rope Rescue Operations or Technician, Confined Space Operation or Technician, Trench Rescue Operations or Technician, Water rescue Operations, Fire Ground Company Officer School, Inspector I, Inspector II, Fire Investigator, Fire Department Incident Safety Officer, Leadership Development and Decision Making (LDDM Company Officer), Fire Ground Command Officer School, Public Fire and Life Safety Educator 1, Vehicle Machinery Technician. All National Fire Academy classes that are 40 hours or greater. * Three points for Associate’s Degree in Fire Science or related and Fire Officer 2/Advance Company Officer (Fire officer 2/Advance Company Officer points will not be given after 2022 for captain’s promotional tests) * Six points for a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science or related * Only one college degree can be used per promotional process * Office of the State Fire Marshal, IFSI or any of the agencies providing the above classes requirements must have been met for all applicable classes/certification.

  • Educational Services Any service or supply for education, training or retraining services or testing including: special education, remedial education; cognitive remediation; wilderness/outdoor treatment, therapy or adventure programs (whether or not the program is part of a Residential Treatment facility or otherwise licensed institution); job training or job hardening programs; educational services and schooling or any such related or similar program including therapeutic programs within a school setting.

  • Educational Program A. DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST XXXX MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3). These characteristics are subject to modification with the District’s written approval:

Parents and guardians must assume a responsibility for maintaining this partnership by supporting the school in the provision of education to their children within the scope of School's registration and furthering the spiritual and academic life of their children.
