Promotional Tests. Promotional tests shall consist of a written and oral examination, the scores from which will be averaged with an additional point for each full year of service, (up to twelve (12) points) to be added to this average to compute the final grade. The County agrees that it will post notice of educational opportunities. The testing procedure may be waived by the Employer, with notice to the President of the Association, if there are twelve (12) or fewer applicants for the position. The employer may, at its option, use a promotional process in lieu of, or in addition to, the oral and written examination provided in this section.

Promotional Tests. The City agrees that recruitments for promotional positions will consist of a written and oral component. The format for the test shall be provided to any qualified applicant within a reasonable amount of time (generally 30 days or more) prior to the testing procedure. The City and the POA agree to meet and confer prior to the test to determine an appropriate assessment process.
