Common use of Educator Plans: Improvement Plan Clause in Contracts

Educator Plans: Improvement Plan. A. An Improvement Plan is for those Educators with PTS whose overall rating is unsatisfactory. The parties agree that in order to provide students with the best instruction, it may be necessary from time to time to place an Educator whose practice has been rated as unsatisfactory on an Improvement Plan of no fewer than 30 school days and no more than one school year. The Evaluator must complete a summative evaluation for the Educator at the end of the period determined by the Evaluator for the Plan. In those cases where an Educator is rated unsatisfactory near the close of a school year, the Educator may voluntarily include activities during the summer preceding the next school year as part of the plan.
