B. A bonus of $100.00per year for each year worked will be paid to employees who have twenty (20) years or more of service with the district. If the employee notifies the Superintendent in writing of his/her decision to retire by March 1st of the year prior to the year in which they retire, the retirement bonus will be added to the final years annual salary and received throughout the final year of employment. If notification to retire is received in the final year of employment, a lump sum payment of the bonus will be included with the last payroll check in the final year of employment.
