Elementary. a. The weekly teaching load in elementary school will not exceed twenty seven (27) hours and five (5) minutes of classroom instruction per week. In addition, elementary teachers shall use for conferences and preparation all times during which their classes are receiving instruction from various certified teaching specialists such as: music, physical education, art, foreign languages or character education. Such relief period will be included in the requirement of the contract day.
