Common use of Eligibility for Holiday Pay Clause in Contracts

Eligibility for Holiday Pay. Employees are eligible for holiday pay if they are in paid status on their regular, scheduled work day preceding the holiday. In addition, cyclic employees who are scheduled to work less than a full month in a month in which a holiday falls will receive pay for the holiday if they were in paid status on their last scheduled work day preceding the holiday. Employees whose employment is terminated immediately prior to a holiday are not entitled to holiday pay.
