Common use of Eligibility to Apply for Postings Clause in Contracts

Eligibility to Apply for Postings. (a) Employees who post into any temporary vacancy in the same classification are expected to complete the term of the vacancy. This shall not apply in circumstances where a new temporary vacancy provides additional hours and/or eligibility for benefits. (b) Notwithstanding (a) above, an employee working in a temporary vacancy may apply for a subsequent temporary vacancy, with no additional hours and/or benefits, without completing the current temporary vacancy once per calendar year.
