Eligibility to Bump. Determination of ability to perform the normal work involved in the position being displaced shall be based on the following: (1) the employee must meet the minimum requirements of the job, including related experience, as listed in the job description, and (2) the employee must be able to perform the normal work in the job within ten (10) working days.

Eligibility to Bump. After receiving the layoff or reduction in hours notice, 8 employees may displace (bump) another employee within the employee’s layoff group as defined in 9 Section 18.7 below, if they meet all of the following criteria: 10 1. The laid off employee may bump the least senior employee in the layoff 11 group who holds a position for which the laid off employee is qualified in the job classification or job 12 classification series from which the employee is laid off, provided the employee to be bumped has 13 less seniority than the employee who elects to bump; and 14 2. The job classification of the employee to be bumped is at a pay range equal 15 to or lower than the employee who elects to bump; and 16 3. The employee electing to bump has the skill, ability and experience 17 required to perform the work of the job classification/position.

  • Certification of eligibility a.
