Eligible organisations. The Consultative committee shall be composed of up to thirty members. In order to ensure the largest possible pluralism within the Consultative Committee and reflect as much as possible the reality of sport and sport-related projects in Europe and other regions, members of the Consultative Committee will include a balanced variety of organisations representing the sports movement. While inviting organisations and recommending the inclusion of new organisations to the Consultative Committee, the Governing Board shall aim to ensure a balance between the different categories of organisations and to prevent the number of organisations belonging to one category exceeding the number of organisations belonging to all the other categories. While submitting candidate organisations for authorisation by the Committee of Ministers, the Governing Board will apply the following criteria: - the organisation should support the values of sport as laid out in the European Sports Charter and Olympic Charter; 1 - a copy of their statute - their latest annual report and provide the following information - number of individual members and member organisations - number of countries in which their member national organisations are located - number of countries where they have sport related activities - the organisation should count member organisations or sport projects in at least 15 European Countries; - the organisation should have a European geographical scope; if there is no other relevant European organisation to deal with the EPAS in their area of activity or with the agreement of the relevant European organisation, an international organisation may be admitted; - the applicant must be a legal person and can be a non-profit organisation, or for-profit organisation. (The promotion of sport must be the principal activity of the organisation and must be referred to in the constituting documents of the organisation.); - the organisation should be ready to actively contribute to the promotion and the development of the EPAS, including written contributions for the meetings; - there should be only one organisation for a sport discipline ; if there are several organisations involved in managing a sport discipline (e.g. players, clubs, etc.), preference should be given to the European branch of the governing body of this sport discipline or to the most representative organisation.
