Common use of Emergency Absence Clause in Contracts

Emergency Absence. 1. Emergency Absence due to illness in family shall be at the discretion of the Superintendent who may allow up to one (1) day's absence without salary deduction. Leave (1 day per year) that is not used during the period of July 1 to June 30 during a given year shall be credited to cumulative sick leave for personal illness on July 1 of the following year.
