Common use of Emergency School Closure Clause in Contracts

Emergency School Closure. 3 If school is closed on an emergency basis, other than a work stoppage, the District will 4 make all reasonable efforts to get a waiver during the current school year from the state so 5 the time does not have to be made up for state funding. In the event it is not possible to get 6 a waiver, and it is necessary to make up the time as an express condition to get state 7 funding, then the bargaining unit will make up the minimum time and/or days necessary for 8 state funding.
