Emergency Suspension. If in the opinion of the Superintendent or his/her designee, a bargaining unit member’s presence would lead to a clear and present danger to lives, safety and health of students or fellow employees, the Board may immediately suspend the unit member without pay. 1. In the emergency suspension, the bargaining unit member can request a meeting to be held within three (3) work days of the suspension. 2. Bargaining unit member may grieve emergency suspensions directly to Level two of the grievance procedure.
