Employee and contractor status. The School shall employ or contract with such personnel as are required for the efficient and effective operation of the School. The School shall adopt and implement personnel policies to address, among other topics, the hiring, evaluation, and termination of employees, the terms of employment, and compensation consistent with the provisions of the Charter. All employees hired by the School will be employees of the School and not the Sponsor and will be employees at will, subject to SBE Reg 43-601(III)(M). All employee discipline decisions will be made by the School. Other terms of the employment relationship shall be described in an Employee Handbook, as set forth in the Charter.
