The health coverage portion of the State Employee Group Insurance Program is provided through the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan (Advantage), a self-insured health plan offering four (4) Benefit Level options. Provider networks and claim administration are provided by multiple plan administrators. Coverage offered through Advantage is determined by Section F(I)(b).

(b) Coverage Under the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan. From July 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009, health coverage under the SEGIP will continue at the level in effect on June 30, 2009. Effective January 1, 2010, Advantage will cover eligible services subject to the co-payments, deductibles and coinsurance coverage limits stated. Services provided through Advantage are subject to the managed care procedures and principles, including standards of medical necessity and appropriate practice, of the plan administrators.
