Common use of Employee Requested Unpaid Leave Clause in Contracts

Employee Requested Unpaid Leave. An employee may request an unpaid leave of absence to take educational courses that have the potential for benefit related to the care of the residents and the employee’s ability to fully perform the job duties, subject to the following provisions: a) Where an employee requests an unpaid leave of absence such an employee shall give reasonable advance notice in writing of such request. b) Every effort shall be made by the Employer to comply with such requests, providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the department can be found. c) Notices granting such requests shall be given by the Employer in writing.
