EMPLOYEE’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE. Contractor shall take all risk Insurance Policy to cover all his workmen/employees, staff applicable under the Employee Compensation Act 1923 or any amendment thereof as also insurance cover for third party liability. The contractor shall keep the GIPCL indemnified from all liabilities arising out of his action in pursuance of this contract. The E. C. Policy should be obtained from Surat Jurisdiction and shall be assigned to GIPCL. EC policy should cover the specified contract period. Contractor shall also obtain additional off-duty coverage insurance policy for all his workers as per clause no. 24 herein under.

EMPLOYEE’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE. 7.1.1 Without prejudice to his liability to indemnify the Employer under this clause 7.1 and clause 7.2, the Contractor shall take out and maintain in the joint names of the Employer, the Contractor and sub‐contractors of any tier insurance coverage to follow the standard Accident Insurance Association of Hong Kong Employees’ Compensation Policy wording to indemnify all of the liabilities of the Contractor or, as the case may be, of each sub‐contractor of any tier and their respective employees and other persons who may be employed on the Works in respect of any damages or compensation payable under any Ordinance, Statute or at common law in respect, or in consequence of, any death, accident, illness or injury to any work people or other person in the employment of the Contractor or any sub‐contractor arising out of, or in the course of, or caused by the carrying out of the Works. The insurance required to be taken out and maintained by this clause 7.1.1 must include a clause whereby the insurer waives their subrogation rights against all insured parties.

EMPLOYEE’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE. The Company shall cause Youlife Technology to take out an employees’ compensation insurance policy in compliance with the Employees’ Compensation Ordinance (Cap. 282 of the Laws of Hong Kong) (the “ECO”) to cover its liabilities under the ECO and at common law for injuries at work in respect of all of its employees, as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event by no later than thirty (30) days after the date hereof.
EMPLOYEE’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE. The Contractor is solely responsible for liability for accidents or injuries to his workpeople. The Employer shall not be liable for any damages or compensation in consequence of any accident or injury to any employee or other person whether in the employment of the Contractor or any sub-contractor and the Contractor shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Employer against all claims, demands, proceedings, costs, charges and expense whatsoever in respect thereof or in relation thereto. The Contractor shall take out and maintain on behalf of himself and his sub-contractors such insurances as are necessary to cover all liability of the Contractor arising under any statute or at Common Law in respect of personal injury to or the death of any employee and other person who may be employed on the Works or anywhere in Macau or in Hong Kong whilst engaged in business connected with the Works. The policies shall be issued on a “Joint named” basis, i.e. in the name of the Contractor and of all his sub-contractors whilst engaged about the business. (Except otherwise stated, Specialist Sub-Contractors will be required to take out their own Employees’ Compensation Insurance). See also clause 18 of the General Conditions of Contract.
