Employees Scheduled to Work Holiday That Is Not Regularly Scheduled Workday. When an employee is scheduled to work on a holiday that is not her/his regular work day, she/he will be scheduled her/his status hours for the week, including the holiday. However, if the Employee signs the availability list, she or he will be scheduled to work an additional day before any other employee is scheduled to work overtime on that day. An employee does not have to use CTO to cover absence on a scheduled holiday if she/he otherwise work their normal number of “status” or “contract” hours within such pay period. [Example: Employee works an additional day (e.g. Saturday) at end of holiday week in which he has been scheduled off on the holiday. Since the employee will work a full 40-hour week even though absent on the holiday, she does not have to apply CTO.] In order to provide for a fair distribution of holidays the schedule will alternate from year to year as follows.
