Common use of Employment Abandonment Clause in Contracts

Employment Abandonment. i. Any employee failing to report for work without notifying the Employer within three (3) work days, and who cannot give an acceptable reason for his/her absence, shall be considered as having abandoned his/her position. ii. An employee shall be afforded the opportunity to demonstrate that there was an acceptable reason for not having informed the Employer.
