Common use of End of Academic Term Clause in Contracts

End of Academic Term. If an eligible teacher begins leave: a. More than five (5) weeks prior to the end of an academic term, the Superintendent can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if the leave is of at least three (3) weeks and the return to employment would occur within three (3) weeks of the end of the academic term; b. Five (5) weeks or fewer prior to the end of the academic term but not less than three (3) weeks prior to the end of the academic term, the Superintendent can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if the leave is of at least two (2) weeks and the return to employment would occur within two (2) weeks of the end of the academic term; and c. Less than three (3) weeks prior to the end of the academic term, the Superintendent can require the leave to extend to the end of the term if it is greater than five (5) working days.
