Environment Management. 9.2.4.1 BHEL has a sound environmental management system, which is to be maintained and implemented by all the contractors. The system allows for project specific objectives to be set and developed sensitive to client requirements, applicable environmental legislation and BHEL’s own objectives and policy. BHEL engineers will assess and monitor the environmental impact of their work and lay out objectives for their minimization. The contractors shall implement the objectives for continual improvement of environmental performance. BHEL shall regularly audit environmental impacts and their improvements.
Environment Management. For those water supply dam Subprojects, particularly the Yudongxia dam, GMG shall ensure an appropriate classification of EPZ and determine and stipulate related regulations for preserving water quality of the respective reservoir. Such regulations may include land use zoning and control of chemical fertilizers/pesticides use, wastewater discharge and aquaculture development in the EPZ area. To ensure the preservation of the income and livelihood of local communities that may be affected by such regulations, GMG shall ensure that a PES mechanism to maintain the agreed level of water quality by providing sufficient compensation to upstream government and affected communities is established and implemented.

Environment Management. Hosted Software can be installed to a variety of environments. All software specific environment configurations, such as deployment environment, staging environments, and the need for high-availability and multiple geographical locations, are agreed with the Customer. For environments used to provide Hosted Software, the Service includes environment monitoring, management, and optimization to ensure tool performance and cost effectiveness. Recommended environments are: ● Public cloud ○ Public cloud environments can be owned by the Supplier or the Customer. To support tools in Customer owned public cloud environments, the Supplier requires administrator level user rights that allow the Supplier to manage the environment and the used public cloud resources. ● Private cloud ○ A private cloud hosting environment is included as the default option for selected Software, with 200GB of common storage space on hard-drive disk (HDD) and 1GB of storage space per user. Other infrastructure requirements for Software depend on the Supplier’s estimate of reasonable resources. All additional storage space and infrastructure resources are agreed separately and billed according to consumption. On-premise environments can be supported but are not recommended as all Service benefits can’t be ensured. Service content for on-premise environments is agreed on a case-by-case basis.
