Common use of Established Positions Clause in Contracts

Established Positions. The assignment of established positions to Departments is to facilitate planning for the level and distribution of full-time faculty resources. Changes in the number of established positions will not affect the employment status of tenured and probationary Employees. The termination of the appointments of individual Employees, except those in accordance with Article 5.02.3 and Article 14, shall not result in a reduction in the number of established positions in a Department.
