Evidence requirements. (a) Where an Employee takes leave, with the exception of the first 3 days in each year, for the reasons set out in subparagraph 18.3(a)(i), the Employee shall, if requested by the Employer, provide a certificate from a medical practitioner or evidence from a registered health practitioner or other evidence that would satisfy a reasonable person that the leave was taken for such a purpose. Provided that where a single day absence occurs before and/or after a public holiday or a rostered day off such evidence must be supplied.
