EXTEMPORARY CANCELLATION Sample Clauses

EXTEMPORARY CANCELLATION. If the Client cancels the contract within 7 days of the project start date, they will need to pay $150 to the Contractor as compensation, which is not a penalty. In case of cancellation or changes requested by the Client for standard materials within the Contractor’s offering, such as pressure treated posts or redwood boards in regular sizes, a restocking fee of 15% of the material price will apply if restocking is required. For non-wood materials like Chain Link, Iron, or Vinyl, the Contractor will accept returns with a restocking fee of up to 35% of the material price. However, if the canceled project includes custom or fabricated materials, such as steel frames or special wood types with specific measurements that have already been cut or non-refundable orders sourced by the Contractor, the Client will be responsible for the entire material price. If the Client cancels the contract after the 3 business days right of cancellation, a cancellation fee will be paid by the Client based on the last contract price agreed by both parties. Therefore, the Contractor hereby agrees to accept the payment as just compensation for the preparation work done before the cancellation.
