EXTRA WORK/CHANGED WORK. When required by dispatch to perform additional work at the end of a shift, extra work can be performed at rates determined by the zone in which the driver would have finished his originally assigned day. • Exception is when a driver asks for extra work. In this instance, the driver continues his day and his rate is calculated by his cumulative kilometres for the day. • Extra work is in contrast to changed work. Extra work can only be considered if all scheduled work is performed by the driver. Changed work is when part or all of a work schedule is replaced by another piece(s) of work. Changed work is not considered extra work and will count towards the drivers’ daily accumulated kilometres for zone determination.
